"Stepping Out"
It was a beautiful day filled with bright golden sunshine, and now the sun has set and twilight approaches.
Rebecca is "Stepping Out" for an enchanting evening of chamber music held in the drawing room of one of the wealthy patrons of the arts, as was the custom of the time. Later her carriage will arrive to return her to her home while the lingering strains of the gentle music enfold her creating fond memories of a very enjoyable evening.
"Little Victorian Facts"
Dresses of this time were beautifully draped with a gathering of material in the back forming a small bustle and then releasing into a graceful train. Dresses were many times decorated with cascading real or silk flowers. Evening fabrics were soft and flowing.
The gown that Rebecca has designed and made for this occasion is a cloud of pink chiffon and white lace with cascading silk roses descending from the shoulder to form a small bustle in the back and then gracefully falling down the train of this exquisite evening gown.
