"BRIGHT BEGINNINGS"

The long months of planning, the hopes and dreams materializing, the anticipated day has arrived, and a beautiful wedding is truly a bright beginning. This picture depicts a Victorian wedding, not unlike many weddings of today. The scene is one of the nation's oldest churches and the traditional mode of leaving the church was the horse-drawn carriage. The ceremony, now over, the wedding party gathers around for the departure. The little flower girl watching with admiration, possibly dreaming of the day when she will be a bride, while the junior bridesmaid lays her flowers on the ground and becomes better acquainted with the horse.

#9b Wedding Reception

"WEDDING RECEPTION"

It was a beautiful wedding, just the kind of wedding they had both dreamed of, and now the guests are arriving at the reception to wish the couple well and to celebrate this special day. Several of the early arrivals have joined into the festivities by dancing on the lawn to the music of an unseen string ensemble. The joyful bride and groom, now a little more relaxed, view the activity and arrivals from the front piazza, a beautiful ending for such a perfect day.

#16 April Love

"APRIL LOVE"

Built as a wedding gift for the lucky couple by the bride's parents, while the groom's parents sent the couple on a two-year honeymoon trip to Europe.
When they returned, the house was completed. The Queen Anne style had been chosen so that the round areas were representative of the wedding cake and the ornate trim the frosting. The local people still refer to this house as the "Wedding Cake House"
.

"HER WEDDING DAY"

When she was just a little girl, she dreamed of being a bride. Then someone special came into her life and "being a Bride" took on a deeper meaning. Now her wedding day is here. The hopes, the dreams, and all those months of planning have come together at last. As she reflects upon this perfect day, the little flower girl arranges her cathedral veil made of the finest French muslin of the time. Her faithful white cat, watching the special preparations from his position on the slip chair, also knows that this is a very special day..

"Little Victorian Facts 1864"

Bridal bouquets were not carried by brides of this time, but were presented to her after the ceremony. However, a tradition of the time, was that of encircling the head or headdress with wax orange blossoms and also tucking them into folds and various places on the wedding dress. A member of European royalty remarked of his bride, that she looked like a brush coming down
the aisle.

 The Ultimate

I require a list of the wedding party by first name.  By name, I would need the hair color, hair style, height and build of each attendant, including male attendants if desired,  as well as junior bridesmaid, flower girl and ring bearer.  Extra attendants can be added or taken away as necessary.  When completed, not only will this be a lovely depiction and keepsake of the wedding. But if given as an attendant gift, the attendants will be able to recognize themselves in the scene.

All scenes, personalized or not, will be triple matted and framed in a  gold Victorian frame and will be dedicated by the artist to the recipient. All dedications will end with given by, and this is where the gift giver will sign their name and write their own special message.

These scenes are also available as music boxes, thank you notes, wedding invitation, place cards and as a gift favor to those attending the wedding, usually placed by the guest book.  A magnet of the scene with an added area under the scene which reads,

Thank You for Sharing Our Special Day.
