"THE BIRTHDAY PARTY"

The celebration of a "Birthday" is such an important occasion for families and friends that many of these milestones become memorable from our earliest days. It is with the hope that all of these birthdays celebrated will be stepping stones to yet another "HAPPY BIRTHDAY".

"THE GARDEN PARTY"

It is a beautiful day, the weather is warm, the breeze is gentle, and the late Spring foliage still decorates the trees and the lawn. It is a perfect day for a garden party. A lovely tea has been served and the guests have moved to the front of the tearoom, where the ladies, wearing their white finery, as was the custom for garden parties, have decided to play a game of croquet on the lawn. This activity was a favorite among women of this time. Others enjoy the game from the comfort of the large rocking chairs on the veranda. Still others simply stroll the lawn while catching up on the latest gossip. The gentlemen, leaving the ladies to their own entertainment, have gathered together to discuss more serious topics, as this too, was a custom of the time. Later, they will return to their respective homes quite content with a day well spent.
