This picture depicts a Victorian wedding, not unlike many weddings of today. The scene is one of the nation's oldest churches and the traditional mode of leaving the church was the horse-drawn carriage. The ceremony, now over, the wedding party gathers around for the departure. The little flower girl watching with admiration, possibly dreaming of the day when she will be a bride, while the junior bridesmaid lays her flowers on the ground and becomes better acquainted with the horse.

"APRIL LOVE"

Built as a wedding gift for the lucky couple by the bride's parents, while the groom's parents sent the couple on a two-year honeymoon trip to Europe.
When they returned, the house was completed. The Queen Anne style had been chosen so that the round areas were representative of the wedding cake and the ornate trim the frosting. The local people still refer to this house as the "Wedding Cake House".
