Bridal bouquets were not carried by
brides of this time, but were presented to her
after the ceremony. However, a tradition of the
time, was that of encircling the head or
headdress with wax orange blossoms and also
tucking them into folds and various places on the
wedding dress. A member of European royalty
remarked of his bride, that she looked like a
brush coming down the aisle.
