#4hs Christmas Stillness

#1hs Bringing Home the Tree

 "CHRISTMAS STILLNESS"
It is an early Christmas morning and not even the clip clop of the horses can be heard in the hush stillness of the freshly fallen snow.  Soon the church families will be gathering to celebrate the birthday for their Lord.  The church bells will ring and the sounds of Christmas will fill the air.

"BRINGING HOME THE TREE"

One of the most joyful activities of the Christmas season is that of bringing home that special tree, the tree that the family will gather around to trim, friends will admire, and under which presents will be placed.

Here the father carrying his special packages, allows his little son the joy of pulling the Christmas tree through the freshly fallen snow as they are homeward bound.  The family dog wearing his holiday bow, is also caught up in the excitement as he happily leaps ahead.

#15hs Christmas in the Park

"CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK"

Christmas time, an exciting time with many celebrations and visitations.  This day the celebrants have gathered for a Christmas concert in the park.  As the band plays, the sounds of Christmas music ring clear through the hush of the newly fallen snow.  Couples stroll, children frolic, and the band plays on.

#43hs Christmas at The Office

The name or your company or organization can be placed above the doorway.

"CHRISTMAS AT THE OFFICE"

The days of the holiday season are filled with not only the "Business as Usual"  routine, but with the discussions of presents purchased  or anticipated, parties planned or attended, preparations for holiday guests and  holiday trips or just the excitement of Christmas Day itself.

An then it is the last day of business activity.  There is a party at the office.   Christmas Wishes have been extended,  farewells have been said,  the workplace closes and the Christmas Celebration truly begins.

     #44hs Christmas Memories

"CHRISTMAS MEMORIES"

As we look back on Christmases past, each of us remembers those very special ones.  Every little boy remembers the Christmas when he got his first sled.  The snow had fallen the night before and he remembers anxiously waiting while his father tied on the new hank of rope to make pulling it up the hill easier.

Every little girl remembers the year she got her special new doll that she bundled so warmly and proudly took to show her friends.  All Christmas memories.

#25hs Oh Christmas Tree

"OH CHRISTMAS TREE"

Another joyful day of the holiday season has arrived, the day when the outdoor tree will be decorated.  The lower branches will be hung by  the excited children, while the higher branches have already been decorated by their parents.

There is a real bit of American history in this scene.  This was the actual site of the first outdoor Christmas tree in America to have been lit with electric lights.  The grandmother would sit in an upstairs room with the window open, and would play Christmas carols on an old fashioned Victrola while the tree was being trimmed.

This is reenacted every year as a symbol and  tradition.

#22hs The Christmas Parade

"THE CHRISTMAS PARADE"

The Christmas parade, with it's bands, floats, elves and especially Santa Claus,  is an exciting part of the Christmas season.  The day arrives and people line the streets watch from their windows and porches and if you look closely, even from a vantage point in a tree.  The little boy sitting on the curb has taken a break from his shoveling task to watch the parade.

#21hs Christmas Anticipation

#19hs The Hustle and bustle of Christmas

"CHRISTMAS ANTICIPATION"

A late December afternoon and the little girl plays with a favorite "old" toy while anticipating the new toys of Christmas morning.  The tree is gaily trimmed and the windows decorated with the traditional red bows and wreaths, all adding to the feeling of anticipation.  The children having been caught up in the spirit of giving as well as receiving, happily wrap their mother's gift outside, away from her watchful eye.

"THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF CHRISTMAS"
The hustle and bustle, the hurrying and scurrying, all are part of the holiday season.  The snow is falling, but those busy preparing for the festivities hardly notice as they greet friends and hurry home with their purchases.  The little girl, tired from all her shopping, tugs on her mother's arm, anxious to be on her way.
