"BRIGHT BEGINNINGS"

The long months of planning, the hopes and dreams materializing, the anticipated day has arrived and a beautiful wedding is truly a bright beginning. This picture depicts a Victorian wedding, not unlike many weddings of today. The scene is one of the nation's oldest churches and the traditional mode of leaving the church was the horse-drawn carriage. The ceremony, now over, the wedding party gathers around for the departure. The little flower girl watching with admiration, possibly dreaming of the day when she will be a bride, while the junior bridesmaid lays her flowers on the ground and becomes better acquainted with the horse.

"THE ENGAGEMENT"

Gazebos through the ages have always been romantic places. This is especially true of the gazebo at Hampton Park, the scene of many weddings and engagements. In this scene the young Victorian lady daintily extends her hand, while her suitor, having received a "yes" to his proposal, slips the ring on her finger.

          #17a The Gift of Friendship

        Especially for a Friend

#17b Afternoon Tea
All occasion

"THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP"

Friendship is giving and receiving, it is caring and loving, and pleasant visitations. Oh, if we could put all of these into a box and tie it with a glorious ribbon what a wonderful gift that would be, but all of these are unseen. So we search for that token gift that can be put into a box and tied with a glorious ribbon; and when the gift is removed, all of these other things burst forth and fill the room as they too were inside the box tied with the glorious ribbon.

 "AFTERNOON TEA"

The graceful beauty of tea roses climbing a white Victorian wrought iron fence on a lovely Spring afternoon is complimented by the delicate blooms of the blossoming trees. This is the setting for "Afternoon Tea". The two young ladies in their white lace dresses, daintily sipping their afternoon refreshment on the veranda of this charming Victorian home, brings thoughts to mind of lavender and old lace.
